Saint Louis senior guard Jordan Goodwin is one of 20 candidates named to the Jerry West Award Watch List. Sponsored by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, the award is presented annually to the NCAA's top shooting guard.
Goodwin led the Billikens with 15.5 ppg a season ago en route to first-team All-Conference and Atlantic 10 All-Defensive team honors. He also was one of the top rebounding guards in the country with 10.4 rpg, and Goodwin led all NCAA guards with 15 double-doubles a season ago.
An A-10 Player of the Year and All-America candidate, Goodwin enters his senior campaign second in school history in career steals, eighth in career rebounds and 24th in career points. He also has a chance to break into the top 10 in career assists at SLU.
Billikens fans are encouraged to participate in Fan Voting presented by Dell Technologies beginning Friday, Nov. 6. In late January, the watch list of 20 players for the 2021 Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award will be narrowed to just 10. In late February, five finalists will be presented to Mr. West and the Hall of Fame's selection committee. For more information on the 2021 Jerry West Award, visit www.hoophallawards.com.
