MORE Q&A WITH EMILY ...
Imagine you've scored the game-winning goal in the A-10 Championship final. How would you celebrate on the field?
I am a goalie, so if I somehow scored a goal in the A-10 Championship, I would probably try to do a back flip which I don't know how to do, but I would also just celebrate with my team.
If you could play any other sport at the collegiate level, what would it be, and why?
If I could play another sport it would probably be volleyball. I'm not very good at it but I love to play for fun, so I feel like it would be a lot of fun to play in college.
At what point during your youth career did you start believing you had the ability to play Division I soccer?
My club team would go to these showcases, and there would always be hundreds and hundreds of coaches there to watch us all play. Seeing coaches on the sidelines of our games is where I realized that I might be able to play soccer in college.
What is the best sporting event you've ever attended, and what made it memorable?
I remember during spring break my junior year I went on a trip to Florida with my friend, and we went to a spring training game. It wasn't necessarily anything special, but it was memorable because I had a lot of fun and it was a cool stadium.
If you could change one rule in soccer, what would it be, and why?
I would change the rule of not being able to pick up back passes. If that rule wasn't in the rule book, that would make my life easier in some circumstances.
