Billikens Win Five-Set Thriller on Senior Night

MATCH DETAILS
• After trailing 2-1 in the match after three sets, Saint Louis came back with victories in the fourth and fifth frames to defeat Duquesne 3-2 on senior night Saturday in an Atlantic 10 Conference match at Chaifetz Pavilion.
• SLU finished its regular season with an 18-11 record and an 11-5 mark in league play, while Duquesne went to 12-15, 7-9.
• Four Billikens recorded double-digit kills, including a career-high and game-best 21 from Jillian Mattingly.
• The Billikens trailed 8-1 in a race to 15 in the fifth set, but back-to-back attack errors from the Dukes brought SLU back within one at 9-8. Following a match-point score at 14-13 for DUQ, the Billikens rattled off
three straight points to clinch the fifth frame and win the match.
• SLU recorded 12 total blocks in the match, marking its 11th contest this season with double digits in that category.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES
• Mattingly's 21 kills marked a career high for the sophomore. She also hit for a match-best .625 attack percentage.
• Maya Taylor and Delaney Rice each recorded 14 kills. Taylor completed a double-double, adding 11 digs, while Rice posted five blocks.
• Carlie Rodgers led the match with 22 digs.
• Abby Lynn collected a career-high 46 assists, along with 15 digs. The match marked the third 40-assist contest of her career.

UP NEXT
Saint Louis will head to Pittsburgh, Pa., for the Atlantic 10 Championship Nov. 19-21. Seedings and match times will be announced by the league on Sunday.
