GAME DETAILS
• Brooke Flowers posted a double-double of 16 points and a game-best 19 rebounds, but Saint Louis fell 63-54 to Northern Iowa in the season opener Tuesday night at Chaifetz Arena.
• Flowers completed her double-double in the first half, leading the Billikens to a 31-25 advantage at the break.
• After a tie score at 39 in the third quarter, the Panthers used a 7-0 run to pull ahead 46-39. They took a 50-45 lead at the end of three.
• A pair of Marisa Warren free throws brought the Billikens back within two with 4:09 remaining in the game, but UNI was able to pull away and come out with a 63-54 victory.
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
• The double-double was Flowers' 19th of her career. Seven of the boards came on the offensive glass, one shy of her career best.
• Warren dished out a game-high four assists, while also adding 10 points and three rebounds.
• Ciaja Harbison was the Billikens' second-leading scorer with 15 points.
