ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis University announced today that up to 800 fans will be allowed to attend men's and women's basketball games at Chaifetz Arena, beginning with Saturday's men's game against St. Bonaventure.Â
Included among the 800 fans will be player and staff families, SLU students, sponsors, and season-ticket holders selected via Billiken Club priority points. There will be no public ticket sales for games at this point. A Billiken Ticket Office representative will contact season-ticket holders who qualify to attend games.
"We appreciate the support of, and working relationship with, the City of St. Louis Department of Health and the Saint Louis University leadership," SLU Director of Athletics Chris May said. "We have been working daily to find a way for Billiken basketball fans to attend games while keeping our community safe. With an increased number of fans, we all will need to be extraordinarily diligent in following the proper protocols while inside Chaifetz Arena. We are absolutely thrilled to have Billiken fans starting to come back in person."Â
All fans attending games must complete a symptom check on SLU's CampusClear app, wear a mask at all times, and follow proper social distancing measures. Â
