GAME DETAILS
• Two Saint Louis home runs put the Billikens ahead 4-0 in the first inning, but Oral Roberts came back to take a 14-7 win over SLU on Friday afternoon at Billiken Sports Center.
• The Billikens moved to 4-13 on the season, while ORU went to 7-10.
SCORING
• Saint Louis jumped ahead early, scoring four runs on two 2-run home runs in the bottom of the first inning. Matt Turino and Kyle Fitzgerald each tallied their first long balls of the year, giving SLU a 4-0 lead.
• Oral Roberts answered with a three-run home run from Brady Gibson in the second, cutting its deficit to 4-3.
• The Eagles took the lead in the fourth, recording six runs, including a two-run home run off the bat of Ryan Cash.
• The Billikens used two RBI singles and an RBI groundout to pull within two at 9-7 in the bottom of the seventh. Fitzgerald picked up his third RBI in the game, while Jake Garella and Matt Happ each collected their first.
• ORU tallied four more runs in the eighth, including a two-run single from Joshua Cox.
• Adam Oviedo's RBI double made it 14-7 in the top half of the ninth.
