Billikens Tripped Up by VCU

Saint Louis threw eight shots at VCU Sunday afternoon, but the Billikens were unable to find the back of the cage in a 4-0 loss to the Rams at SportPort International in Maryland Heights, Mo.

The Billikens moved to 3-5 on the season and 0-2 in Atlantic 10 play, while VCU improved to 3-0, 2-0.

VCU tallied two goals in the first quarter and one in each of the second and third periods. Bridget McCormick posted two goals and one assist in the game for the Rams.

Olivia Smith and Demi Sahuleka led the Billikens with two shots each.

SLU will visit Richmond, Va., for matches against the Spiders and Rams next weekend.
