THE BASICS
• Gabbie Kowalik homered and drove in three runs to lead Saint Louis in the Billikens' Atlantic 10 Conference doubleheader at George Washington Saturday afternoon.
 
GAME 1 – HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Billikens took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Kat Lane led off with a triple and scored on Kowalik's infield single.
• The Colonials scored four runs in the first, one in the second and four in the third.
 
GAME 1 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
• Kristi Stevenson had a single.
 
GAME 2 – HOW IT HAPPENED
• George Washington led 7-0 after scoring three runs in the first, one in the third and three in the fifth.
• SLU struck for three runs in the sixth. Kowalik ignited the rally with a solo homer, Kayla Swiderski doubled, and Alyssa Chavez's RBI single plated pinch runner Tabby Cacheris. Chavez scored on Cami Newbanks' two-out RBI single.
• GW answered with two tallies in its half of the sixth.
• The Billikens added a run in the seventh. Lane drew a leadoff walk, advanced to third on two wild pitches and scored on Kowalik's infield single.
 
GAME 2 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
• Lane and Stevenson recorded a double apiece.
