• After dropping the first set, Saint Louis won three frames in a row to beat Duquesne 3-1 Friday night at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, Pa.
• Juliana Phillips became just the third Billiken to record eight service aces in a match and the first to do so since 1988. She tied Arlene Lampe (1983) for second most in a single match. Sandy Kittel holds the record with 10 (1988).
• The Billikens won their sixth league match in a row, improving their record to 7-6 overall, 6-1 in the conference. The Dukes dropped to 0-4, 0-4.
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
• Phillips added seven kills and three blocks to her eight-service ace stat line.
• Maya Taylor collected her second double-double on the season, smacking a match-high 16 kills and recording 11 digs.
• Freshman Delaney Rice posted 11 kills on a .444 hitting percentage. She also added two solo blocks and three block assists.
• Kennedy Cordia tallied 42 assists, along with eight digs and two service aces.
• Emily Imo brought in a match-best 16 digs. The junior also recorded four aces, two assists and one kill.
• The Billikens posted a season-high 16 service aces, as a team.
