• Grant Fremion threw 3.2 innings of scoreless relief, and Saint Louis defeated George Mason 4-2 Sunday afternoon in an Atlantic 10 Conference game at Spuhler Field in Fairfax, Va.
• SLU took the weekend series from the Patriots, 3-1.
• The Billikens improved to 11-20 on the season and 3-1 in A-10 play, while George Mason went to 8-15, 1-3.
SCORING
• Colin Bergmann and Ryan Hernandez each connected on RBI singles in the top of the second inning, and the Billikens tallied another on a wild pitch, giving them an early 3-0 lead.
• George Mason posted two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, including a solo home run from Cooper Mrowka.
• Colten Schild's RBI single in the eighth inning made it 4-2 Billikens.
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
• Fremion picked up his first win of the season, pitching 3.2 innings, scattering two hits and two walks and striking out three.
• Reid Hendrickson added his second save of the season, striking out three in 2.0 innings of work.
• Bergmann led the Billikens with two hits, going 2-3 with two runs scored and one RBI.
