• Saint Louis came up short in the series opener against Davidson Thursday afternoon, falling 11-3 in the Atlantic 10 Conference contest.
• The Billikens moved to 16-29 on the season and 5-8 in A-10 play, while Davidson improved to 25-23, 9-12.
SCORING
• Cam Redding's RBI single to left-center field in the bottom of the third inning gave the Billikens a 1-0 lead.
• Four extra-base hits helped Davidson score eight runs in its half of the fifth inning, taking an 8-1 lead in the game.
• Kyle Fitzgerald singled with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth, scoring SLU's second run of the game.
• Davidson tacked on a run in the sixth with an RBI groundout.
• The Wildcats scored two unearned runs in the seventh frame and took an 11-2 lead.
