THE BASICS

Kat Lane and
Kelsey Etling had four hits apiece in Saint Louis' 6-4, 7-3 Atlantic 10 Conference doubleheader loss at Dayton Saturday afternoon.
•Wise's double in the first game was the 48th of her career, breaking Mackenzie Peter's previous school record of 47. It is the third Billiken career mark established by Wise this season (home runs, total bases).

GAME 1 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•Dayton took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
•Saint Louis tied it in the third on Wise's RBI double.
•The Flyers regained the lead with a two-run third inning.
•
Maria Connell's two-out RBI single in the fourth made it 3-2.
•Dayton answered with three tallies in its half of the fourth for a 6-2 edge.
•SLU began the seventh with three straight hits, the third an RBI double by
Gabbie Kowalik.
Alyssa Chavez followed with a sacrifice fly, but the rally ended there.

•Lane had three hits, including a pair of doubles.

GAME 2 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•Dayton struck for four runs in the first inning.
•Saint Louis narrowed the UD lead to 4-3 in the third. Wise delivered her sixth home run of the season, a two-run shot, and Etling added a two-out RBI single.
•The Flyers plated three runs in the fourth to finish the scoring.
