ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis defeated Missouri State 2-1 Saturday night in its final exhibition game of the season.
A crowd of 4,789 were on hand at Hermann Stadium for the game, including Saint Louis University's freshman class as part of SLU's Welcome Week activities.
Missouri State struck first with a goal in the 12th minute, but SLU answered with Mujeeb Murana's equalizer late in the first half. Isaiah Parker got the game-winning goal in the second half.
The Billikens' regular-season opener is slated for Thursday, Aug. 26, against Louisville at Hermann Stadium. Game time is 7 p.m.
