Three first half goals led Kent State past Saint Louis 3-0 Sunday afternoon at Murphy-Mellis Field in Kent, Ohio.

The Billikens fell to 0-2 on the season, while Kent State moved to 1-1.

Katie Wuerstle tallied twice for Kent State in the first two minutes of the match, scoring at 1:33 and 1:58.

Jenna McCrudden recorded the third goal late in the second quarter (28:19).

Five Billikens fired shots on goal in the contest. Freshman Lotte Teunissen led the team with three total shots, followed by Demi Sahuleka with two.

Up next, SLU will head to Muncie, Ind., on Monday, Sept. 6, for a 3 p.m. contest with Ball State.
