Duquesne Holds Off Billikens’ Fourth-Quarter Surge

GAME DETAILS
• Duquesne used 11 three-pointers to oust Saint Louis, 71-62, in an Atlantic 10 Conference game Saturday night at Chaifetz Arena.
• The Billikens moved to 1-2 in league play and 5-10 overall. Duquesne improved to 2-4, 7-11.
• Duquesne found all its scoring from behind the arc in the first quarter, connecting on five 3-pointers. The Dukes held a 15-14 lead at the end of one.
Natalie McNeal posted eight of her 10 points in the first half and Flowers grabbed eight boards in the first two periods, but SLU trailed 29-27 at the break. The first half saw 11 lead changes between the two teams.
• The Dukes used a 10-2 spurt in the final four minutes of the third quarter to pull ahead by 13.
• After trailing 51-38 at the end of three periods, Ciaja Harbison (15) and Marisa Warren (9) combined for 24 points in the final 10 minutes and led a fourth-quarter charge that saw the Billikens pull back within four with 1:03 remaining.
• Libby Bazelak followed with hitting 7-of-8 free throws in the final minute and solidified the victory for Duquesne.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES
• Harbison recorded her fourth straight 20-point game, finishing with a game-best 21 points.
• With a game-high 14 rebounds, senior Brooke Flowers passed Jamie Cavaness for fifth all-time on the Billikens' career chart (790). She also added six points and one block.
• Warren poured in 15 points, while McNeal collected 10 points, seven rebounds and two assists.
