ST. LOUIS – Former Billiken Tim Ream has been named to the U.S. Men's National Team 26-player roster for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, set for Nov. 20-Dec. 18 in Qatar.

Ream will be making his first appearance in the World Cup after earning 46 caps in his USMNT career. He has played the last eight seasons in England and is the current captain of English Premier League side Fulham FC.

With the Billikens, Ream played four years under head coach Dan Donigan from 2006-09. He accumulated 24 points (6G, 12A) while appearing in 82 matches. Ream was tabbed the 2009 Atlantic 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year and earned third-team All-America status following his senior season.

Former Billikens have been well represented on the world stage in FIFA World Cups. Mike Sorber played in 1994 and was an assistant coach for the USMNT in 2010. Brian McBride played in 1998, 2002 and 2006. Brad Davis (USMNT) and Vedad Ibisevic (Bosnia) competed in the 2014 World Cup. Even more, Billikens alum Dan Flynn was the longtime Secretary General of the USMNT. McBride is the USMNT's current General Manager. And finally, Bill McDermott has worked numerous World Cups during his broadcasting career.
