UNCASVILLE, Conn. – Maryland shot 50 percent from the field and drilled 13 3-pointers as the Terrapins defeated Saint Louis 95-67 Saturday afternoon in the semifinals of the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament at the Mohegan Sun.

It was the first defeat of year for the Bills, who dip to 3-1. Maryland improves to 4-0.

Saint Louis will play either Miami or Providence in the third-place game of the tournament Sunday at 2:30 p.m. on ESPNU.

Javonte Perkins led the Billikens with 17 points, with all of his scoring coming in the second half. He hit a pair of treys and was 6-of-10 in the second half.

Yuri Collins added 12 points and six assists, while
Sincere Parker registered career highs of 11 points and eight rebounds.

SLU shot 36.2 percent from the floor and 25 percent from 3-point range.

Maryland, which never trailed in the game, utilized a 10-0 run in the first half to build a double-digit lead, and it never looked back.

Gibson Jimerson nailed a pair of treys in the first half and finished with six points.

Jake Forrester both had six points and six rebounds. Freshman
Larry Hughes Jr. scored his first collegiate basket in the second half.
