NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Saint Louis freshman Mia Nicastro was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Nicastro registered a career-best 13 points, along with four rebounds and a steal, at Memphis Saturday. She connected on 4-of-7 shots from the field, while also going 5-6 from the free throw line.

The award is the first A-10 weekly honor earned by a Billiken this season.

SLU returns home Wednesday afternoon for a 4 p.m. tipoff against Southern Illinois at Chaifetz Arena.
