GAME NOTES: Saint Louis | Loyola Chicago

Saint Louis opens Atlantic 10 Conference play Wednesday by hosting league newcomer Loyola Chicago at Chaifetz Arena.

The Billikens enter the contest with a 4-11 record, following an 82-54 victory over Southern Illinois to close out nonconference action.

Loyola Chicago began the season with a 5-8 mark.

The Ramblers lead the all-time series 11-3 over SLU, but the teams have not met since the 1997-98 season.

As a reminder, Chaifetz Arena has a Clear Bag Policy for fans attending games. More information can be found here.

KEY STORYLINES
• The Billikens are coming off their second-highest scoring output of the season, after dropping 82 points in the win over Southern Illinois. Six Billikens posted double-digit points.
• Brooke Flowers and Julia Martinez collected double-doubles in the win over the Salukis. It was their 31st and fourth career double-doubles, respectively.
• Flowers is the NCAA's leader with 63 blocks, which is already the sixth most in a single season by a Billiken. In her fifth year, Flowers holds five of the top eight spots on the list. She's 20 blocks ahead
of Stanford's Cameron Brink, who is second nationally with 43. Flowers has four games this year with at least seven blocks.
• The quest for 2,000 points is on for Kyla McMakin. The senior ranks 10th among active career players in the NCAA with 1,891 points. Only seven active players have reached 2,000 points.
• Fresh off her second double-double on the year, Martinez ranks second in the NCAA with 46 steals. The guard leads the league in steals and steals per game (3.07), while also ranking sixth in the A-10 with 102 rebounds.
