ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis junior forward
Francis Okoro was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending Feb. 27, the league announced today.

Okoro averaged a double-double of 19 ppg and 12.5 rpg in the Billikens' two games last week. He shot 63.6 percent (14-22) from the field and 83.3 percent (10-12) from the stripe in the two contests.

In SLU's win against Saint Joseph's, Okoro scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He also blocked three shots, dished out two assists and posted one steal.

Against Richmond, Okoro turned in a career-high 23 points and pulled down a season-high 15 rebounds.

For the season, Okoro is averaging 10.9 ppg and a team-high 7.9 rpg. He has registered six double-doubles. In A-10 games only, Okoro is third in the league with 8.4 rpg and second with a .629 field-goal percentage.

Okoro and the Billikens (19-10, 10-6 A-10) are in action Wednesday when they travel to Kingston, Rhode Island, to face the Rhode Island Rams. Game time on ESPN+ is set for 6 p.m. (CT).
