• Saint Louis scored twice to take a one-run lead in the top of the seventh, but George Mason answered with three runs of its own in the frame and defeated the Billikens 7-5 in an Atlantic 10 Conference game Friday afternoon at Spuhler Field in Fairfax, Va.
• The Billikens moved to 17-14 on the season, 4-3 in league play, while George Mason went to 11-21, 3-4.
SCORING
• George Mason struck first with a run in the opening frame.
• The Patriots scored three in the fourth inning, all on RBI singles.
• With the help of two fielding errors, SLU recorded three runs in the sixth, including an RBI single from Cole Smith.
• Matt Happ gave the Billikens the lead in the top of the seventh with a two-RBI single.
