THE BASICS
•Sadie Wise drove in two runs and Gabbie Kowalik tallied three hits, but Dayton nipped Saint Louis 4-3 in the rubber game of an Atlantic 10 Conference series Saturday afternoon at the Billiken Sports Center.
•The Billikens slipped to 17-20 overall and 9-5 in the A-10, while Dayton improved to 14-20, 9-8.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
•Saint Louis took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on Allie Herron's fielder's choice.
•The Billikens increased the advantage to 3-0 in the second on Wise's two-out, two-run single.
•Dayton created a 3-3 deadlock by plating three runs in the third inning.
•The Flyers scored what proved to be the winning run in the fifth.
 
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Kowalik was 3-for-4.
•Wise added a single for a two-hit game.
•Kristi Stevenson had a single.
•Despite being tagged with the loss, reliever Taylor Hochman allowed just one run and did not walk a batter in 4 1/3 innings.
