THE BASICS
•Chloe Wendling fired a 4-hitter and six different Saint Louis players recorded two hits apiece in the Billikens' 6-1 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over George Washington Sunday afternoon.
•SLU improved to 21-24 overall and 13-7 in the A-10, while GW fell to 30-13, 18-3.
•Sadie Wise registered the 220th start of her Saint Louis career, tying Kristin Nicoletti's school record.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
•Saint Louis scored all the runs it would need in the top of the third inning on RBI singles by Wise and Jane Kaniecki.
•George Washington made it a 2-1 game in the sixth.
•The Billikens erupted for four tallies in the seventh. Wise smacked an RBI double while Kaniecki, Kristi Stevenson and Allie Herron had an RBI single apiece.
 
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Wendling chalked up her 15th victory of the season, adding to her career-best total. She fanned five and walked only one.
•Natalie Sullivan, Herron, Stevenson and Gabbie Kowalik joined Wise and Kaniecki in the 2-hit column.
•Sullivan's two hits were a triple and a double, while Herron posted a double.
