• Mark Vierling homered twice and Cody Jansen connected on a grand slam, leading Saint Louis to a 10-6 win over sixth-seeded Saint Joseph's Thursday morning on the third day of the Atlantic 10 Conference Baseball Championship at Wilson Field in Davidson, N.C.
• The Billikens improved to 29-23 on the season, while the Hawks dropped to 29-25.
• SLU will take on Richmond in an elimination game on Friday, May 27, at 11 a.m. CT.
SCORING
• A solo home run put the Hawks on the board in the second inning.
• SJU added two runs in the third.
• The Hawks pushed their fourth run across in the fifth.
• Vierling smacked a solo shot in the top of the sixth.
• After scoring a run on a bases-loaded walk, Jansen put the Billikens in front with a grand slam in the top of the seventh.
