Saint Louis heads to Europe on Friday to begin a 10-day trip to Spain and Italy. While on the trip, the Billikens will play three exhibition games while having the opportunity to experience the different cities.
 
The Billikens will spend the first three days in Madrid, Spain. They travel to Florence, Italy, for two days, then wrap up the trip with three full days in Rome, Italy. SLU travels back to St. Louis on Sunday, Aug. 21.
 
Here is the itinerary for the trip (subject to change).
 
Day One – Friday, August 12

• Flight to Madrid, Spain

Day Two – Saturday, August 13

• Check-in to hotel in Madrid, Spain
• Free time to explore area around hotel
• Team practice

Day Three – Sunday, August 14

• Free time to explore Madrid, Spain
• Pregame meal
• Game vs. Zentro Basket (11 a.m. STL time)

Day Four – Monday, August 15

• Madrid City Tour with SLU Madrid Campus officials (The Prado, the Plaza de Cibeles, the Puerta de Alcala, the Gran Via, Plaza de Espana, and the Puerto del Sol).
• Royal Palace of Madrid visit
• Plaza De Espana visit
• Spanish Tapas class and dinner

Day Five – Tuesday, August 16

• Flight to Florence, Italy
• Game vs. Italy All-Stars (time TBD)

Day Six – Wednesday, August 17

• Florence walking tour (Piazza del Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, Piazza Santa Croce and the Ponte Vecchio
• Free time in Florence

Day Seven – Thursday, August 18

• Travel to Rome via Pisa
• Pisa guided excursion and Baptistery visit
• Check-in to hotel in Rome

Day Eight – Friday, August 19

• Visit Colosseum and Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Piazza Novona
• Game vs. Stella Azzura (11 a.m. STL time)

Day Nine – Saturday, August 20

• Visit Vatican City and St. Peter's Basilica
• Additional free time in Rome

Day 10 – Sunday, August 21

• Travel back to St. Louis
