ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis field hockey defeated Lindenwood 4-1 Thursday morning in an exhibition match at SportPort International in Maryland Heights, Mo.

Abby Vidas and Brooke Mason each collected a first half goal, while Lauren Pendergast and Josefina Perez posted tallies in the second half. Mason, Demi Sahuleka, Olivia Smith and Perez also recorded one assist each.

The Billikens fired 23 shots at Lindenwood on the day, with 15 going on goal.

SLU will open the regular season against Central Michigan in East Lansing, Mich., on August 26.
