FIVE FACTS
Â
1Â //Â Yuri Collins continues to hold the overwhelming lead in the NCAA in assists (173) and assists per game (10.8). He is also the only player in the NCAA averaging a points/assists double-double as he contributes 12.2 ppg, second on the Billikens. Only four players in NCAA history have finished a season averaging a points/assists double-double, the last being Ja Morant with Murray State in 2018-19.
Â
2 // Gibson Jimerson, who is coming off a team-high 13 points against St. Bonaventure, continues to move up the Billikens' all-time scoring list. He is currently 31st all-time after passing Ian Vouyoukas and Jeff Harris in recent games. Next up for Jimerson to catch is David Burns, who scored 1,049 points in just two years with the Billikens from 1979-81. Jimerson also needs six more 3-pointers to surpass Cody Ellis for sixth in career 3s with 195.
Â
3Â //Â Javonte Perkins is 18 points away from reaching 1,000 career points. He would be the 35th player in school history to reach the milestone and would join Javon Pickett and Gibson Jimerson as active 1,000-point scorers on the Billiken roster.
Â
4Â //Â Travis Ford is tied with Charlie Spoonhour for third on the Billikens' all-time coaches wins list. Spoohour went 122-90 in seven seasons with the Billikens from 1992-99; Ford is 122-83 in his seventh year with the Bills.
Â
5Â //Â Saint Louis leads the all-time series against George Mason 9-4 and has won three in a row. Five of the games in the series have gone to overtime, including last year's thriller in Fairfax that saw Yuri Collins drop a career-high 35 points to go along with 13 assists, five steals and five rebounds. Collins scored the game-winning bucket at the double-overtime buzzer to lift SLU to the road win.
