FIVE FACTS
Â
1Â //Â Yuri Collins continues to hold the overwhelming lead in the NCAA in assists (185) and assists per game (10.9). He is also the only player in the NCAA averaging a points/assists double-double as he contributes 12.0 ppg, second on the Billikens. Collins has registered 10+ assists in five straight games.
Â
2 // Gibson Jimerson jumped to 29th on SLU's all-time scoring list thanks to a team-high 16 points in the win against George Mason. Jimerson is seventh in school history with 194 3-pointers and needs two more to surpass Cody Ellis for sixth.
Â
3Â //Â Javonte Perkins is eight points away from reaching 1,000 for his career. He would be the 35th player in school history to reach the milestone and would join Javon Pickett and Gibson Jimerson as active 1,000-point scorers on the Billiken roster.
Â
4Â //Â With the win against George Mason, Travis Ford moved past Charlie Spoonhour for third on the Billikens' all-time wins list with 123. Spoonhour went 122-90 in seven seasons with the Billikens from 1992-99; Ford is 123-83 in his seventh year with the Bills.
Â
5 // Saint Louis leads the all-time series against George Washington 12-9. The Billikens have won five in a row in the series, including last season's 80-67 victory at Chaifetz Arena. It has been a while since the Billikens visited the Smith Center as they last played there during the 2018-19 season – a 73-58 Billiken win. In fact, no active Billiken has ever played at the Smith Center. Fred Thatch Jr. played in that game on Feb. 13, 2019, scoring 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting, but he is lost for the season after suffering a torn ACL in the UMass game.
