GAME DETAILS
•Emily Gaebe scored in the ninth minute, and Saint Louis made it stand up for a 1-0 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over VCU Sunday afternoon.
•The win allowed SLU to remain atop the A-10 at the halfway point of the league schedule and extended the Billikens' unbeaten streak to eight games (6-0-2). Saint Louis is 9-2-2 overall and 4-0-1 in the A-10, while VCU slipped to 3-7-3, 2-3-1.
•Gaebe caught up to a long pass from Abbie Miller and, from just inside the box, sent a one-time, left-footed shot past VCU goalkeeper Allison Karpovich. The goal was her team-high sixth of the season, tying for the A-10 lead, and the 22nd of her career, tying for ninth all-time at SLU.
•Emily Puricelli made six saves as the Billikens recorded their sixth shutout of the season overall and fourth in five conference matches.
