GAME DETAILS
•Emily Gaebe tallied a career-high six points to lead a relentless Saint Louis attack as the Billikens routed Massachusetts 6-0 in an Atlantic 10 Conference game Thursday night at Hermann Stadium.
•SLU (11-2-2, 6-0-1 A-10), whose six goals are its season high in a conference game, retained sole possession of first place in the A-10, leading La Salle and Dayton by one point. The Billikens also stretched their unbeaten streak to 10 games (8-0-2).
•UMass, which had conceded only nine goals all season entering the game, slipped to 7-4-4, 4-2-2.
•Gaebe recorded two goals and two assists, matching career bests for both, to become the first Billiken to register six points in a game since Maddie Pokorny notched a hat trick vs. VCU in the 2018 A-10 Championship final. She now leads the A-10 in goals (eight) and points (22) and is tied for the league lead in assists (six).
•The Billikens established firm control with three first-half goals scored in a span of 8:28. Emily Groark, assisted by Gaebe and Caroline Kelly, put the first on the board in the 24th minute. Gaebe assisted on Hannah Larson's goal in the 27th minute that made it 2-0, then found the back of the net with a Julia Simon assist in the 33rd minute for a 3-0 halftime advantage.
•Saint Louis scored the first of two corner-kick goals in the 47th minute as Kelly collected the marker with assists from Izzy Luebbert and Abbie Miller. Gaebe, with a Groark assist, completed her second brace of the season in the 57th minute, and Macy Lutz scored from the doorstep with a corner-kick assist from Nina Preusser in the 90th minute.
•Emily Puricelli and Becca Wolterman made a save apiece as they combined on the Billikens' eighth shutout of the season overall and sixth in seven conference matches.
