Billikens Compete in Final Tuneup Before A-10s

PEORIA, Ill. – Saint Louis' men's and women's cross country squads competed in the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, Illinois, on Friday.

On the women's side, Sophia Pelligreen led the Billikens in the red race, finishing the 6K in 21:37 to place 23rd overall. It was the fourth time this season Pelligreen paced the women's team. McKenna Paulson finished just behind Pelligreen in 24th with a time of 21:41. Carly Sear was the third finisher for the Bills with a time of 21:56. Also finishing in SLU's top five were Starr Scott (23:14.50) and Jordan Kantola (23:16).

In the men's 8K, Harrison Martinenko placed 13th overall and led SLU with a time of 24:37. Firaol Ahmed was next for SLU in 16th with a time of 24:39. Spencer Werner was 24th with a time of 24:50. Also placing among SLU's top five were Patrick Donovan (25:13) and Lukasz Iwanowski (25:31).

Next up for the Billikens is the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships, set for Oct. 28 in Dayton, Ohio.
