DAVIDSON, N.C. – Sierra Larson scored her fourth goal of the season, but Davidson edged Saint Louis 3-1 Friday in Atlantic 10 Conference field hockey action in Davidson, N.C.
The Billikens fall to 3-12 overall and 1-6 in the A-10. Davidson improves to 6-11 overall and 1-6 in league play.
Both teams got on the board early on. Davidson scored in the first minute of play to go on top 1-0. But moments later, Larson scored off a Brooke Mason assist for the equalizer.
Davidson went ahead late in the third quarter, then received an insurance tally late in the fourth as the Wildcats posted the 3-1 win.
The Bills held a 9-4 advantage in penalty corners, including seven in the second half.
Kendyl Underwood made 10 saves for the Bills.
Saint Louis plays its final game of the season on Sunday at App State. Game time is 10:30 a.m. (CT).
