Saint Louis concludes the regular-season Saturday night in an Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer clash at Saint Joseph's. Game time at Sean Sweeney Field is scheduled for 6 p.m. (CT).
The match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
The Billikens (8-4-3, 4-1-2 A-10) enter the final weekend tied for second in the league standings with VCU with 14 points, one points shy of first-place Davidson. Five teams, including the Bills, are in the mix to capture at least a share of the A-10 regular-season title heading into Saturday's action.
Saint Joseph's (4-11-1, 2-4-1 A-10) must win Saturday, and hope for additional tiebreaker help, in order to qualify for the eight-team Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Soccer Championship that begins next week.
Here are five additional facts in advance of Saturday's match at Saint Joseph's:
1 // Jeremi Abonnel was named the Atlantic 10 Conference co-Defensive Player of the Week this past week. He made six saves in a shutout against Dayton last Saturday night at Hermann Stadium.
2 // CJ Coppola leads the Billikens with seven goals. Christian Buendia is second on the Billikens with 11 points (4G, 3A).
3 // Mads Stistrup Petersen tied the SLU single-game record with three assists in the Billikens' 8-0 win over Blackburn on Tuesday night. Also, the Billikens recorded a Hermann Stadium record 18 corner kicks (full recap).
4 // If the Billikens host a home game in the quarterfinal round of the A-10 Men's Soccer Championship, it would be played Friday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m.
5 // Saint Louis owns an 11-0-1 all-time record against St. Joe's. Last year, SLU defeated the Hawks 1-0 at Hermann Stadium in the regular-season finale that clinched the A-10 title for the Bills.
