SLU to Hold Cold Weather Clothing Drive Benefiting St. Patrick Center

As part of its ongoing commitment to community engagement, the Saint Louis University Athletic Department is thrilled to announce the launch of the second annual Cold Weather Clothing Drive during the men's basketball game on January 3rd against Loyola Chicago. Building on the success of last year's initiative, fans are once again invited to contribute cold weather clothing items to benefit St. Patrick Center, a ministry of Catholic Charities.

Event Details
Date: January 3rd, 2024
Time: 6:00 PM
Location: Chaifetz Arena

In the spirit of giving, Billiken Athletics is continuing a special incentive: fans who generously donate a cold weather clothing item will receive a complimentary ticket to the game. It's an opportunity for supporters to not only enjoy an exciting basketball matchup but also make a meaningful impact in the lives of those less fortunate during the winter season.

Kyle Ingram, General Manager of Billikens Sports Properties, expressed excitement about the continuation of the clothing drive, stating, "Our fans showed incredible generosity last year, and we are thrilled to bring back the Cold Weather Clothing Drive for its second edition. This initiative not only reinforces the strong sense of community within our fan base but also highlights the positive impact sports can have beyond the playing field."

How to Participate:
  • Attendees are encouraged to bring cold weather clothing items such as jackets, scarves, gloves, and blankets to the game.
  • Upon donation at Gate B, the designated collection point, fans will receive a ticket for free admission to the men's basketball game against Loyola Chicago.
All collected items will be directly donated to St. Patrick Center, contributing to their work of providing essential support and resources to individuals experiencing homelessness in the St. Louis area.

Join Billiken Athletics in making the second edition of the Cold Weather Clothing Drive even more impactful than the last. Let's showcase the generosity and community spirit that define our SLU family.
