Saint Louis plays its second-to-last home game of the season on Saturday when it welcomes Loyola Chicago to Chaifetz Arena. It's the first game between the Billikens and Ramblers at Chaifetz Arena, as LUC just joined the A-10 this past offseason.

Saturday's game will be televised on CBS Sports Network, with Chris Lewis and BJ Taylor on the call. Tipoff is slated for 5:05 p.m. with the possibility of a 5:10 p.m. tip depending on the length of the game ahead on CBSSN.

ABOUT LOYOLA CHICAGO

The Loyola University Chicago Ramblers enter Saturday's game 9-18 overall and 3-12 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. This is Loyola Chicago's first season in the Atlantic 10 after spending the previous nine years as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference.

Philip Alston leads the Ramblers with 14.6 ppg and 5.4 rpg. The transfer from California (Pa.) reached 1,000 career points earlier this season. Braden Norris turns in 10.8 ppg and leads LUC in 3-pointers made (59) and assists (106). He was tabbed the A-10 Player of the Week Dec. 12. Bryce Golden scores 5.9 ppg for the Ramblers. His brother, Grant, scored more than 2,000 points as a member of the Richmond Spiders.

Drew Valentine is in his second season as head coach at Loyola Chicago. He has been on the staff of two programs that have made a Final Four – with Loyola Chicago as an assistant coach in 2018, and with Michigan State as a graduate assistant in 2015.

THE SAINT LOUIS-LOYOLA CHICAGO SERIES

Loyola Chicago leads the all-time series 24-23. The Billikens won at Loyola Chicago earlier this season, 76-59. Javonte Perkins led the way for Saint Louis with 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field and 4-of-5 from downtown. The Billikens finished with a 57.7 percent mark (30-52) from the field in the game, including a 47.4 percent mark from 3-point range.

While this is the first season the two teams are meeting as members of the A-10, the series goes way back. The squads first played more than 100 years ago in the 1921-22 season. From 1982 to 1991, the Billikens and Ramblers were members of the Midwestern Collegiate Conference.
