Saint Louis, which enters the week in second place in the Atlantic 10 Conference, plays host to the Rhode Island Rams on Tuesday night.

The Billikens are 15-8 overall and 7-3 in the A-10. They are looking to snap a two-game skid. Rhode Island has yet to win on the road and come to St. Louis with an 8-14 overall record and a 4-6 league mark.

Tuesday's game is the second game of a doubleheader on CBS Sports Network. John Sadak and Avery Johnson are on the call. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:07 p.m. CT, but could tip as late as 8:12 p.m. depending on the length of the first game – Dayton at VCU.

ABOUT RHODE ISLAND

The Rhode Island Rams come to St. Louis 8-14 overall and 4-6 in league play. They are coming off a 64-50 loss against Saint Joseph's on Feb. 1.

Three of the Rams' conference wins have come against teams with winning A-10 records in Fordham, St. Bonaventure and Dayton. Rhode Island has yet to win on the road, going 0-7 in road games away from the Ryan Center.

Ishmael Leggett and Brayon Freeman lead the Rams' offense with 16.0 ppg and 14.5 ppg, respectively. Leggett is seventh in the Atlantic 10 in scoring, and his 97 free throws made rank second in the A-10. Leggett was a perfect 11-11 from the charity stripe in the Rams' win against Dayton earlier this season.

Malik Martin leads Rhode Island in rebounding with 6.5 rpg. Jalen Carey and Alex Tchikou have a team-best 15 blocked shots for the year. Freeman and Sebastian Thomas have distributed a team-best 58 assists.

The Rams rank third in the Atlantic 10 in free throws made per game (15.7), and they are third in the league in free-throw percentage (.739). Rhode Island is averaging 12.8 fastbreak points per game this season, second in the A-10 to the Billikens' 12.9.

Head coach Archie Miller is in his first season at the helm of Rhode Island. He returns to the A-10 after spending four years at Indiana. Miller was head coach at Dayton from 2011-17, leading the Flyers to four straight NCAA appearances from 2014-17, including a run to the Elite 8 in 2014.Â

This will be the 24th meeting all-time between the Billikens and Rhode Island in a series that began when SLU joined the A-10 in 2005-06.

SLU has won three in a row and four out of the last five against the Rams. Rhode Island had a stretch from 2010-2018 where it won 10 out of 11 in the series, which included five wins at Chaifetz Arena during that span.

Current URI coach Archie Miller went 8-3 against SLU during his stint at Dayton from 2011-16. He was 4-2 at Chaifetz Arena with Dayton, which includes a current four-game winning streak.
