GAME NOTES: Saint Louis | Dayton
Saint Louis (9-16, 5-5 A-10) and Dayton (4-17, 3-7 A-10) battle for a second time this season Wednesday, Feb. 8, at UD Arena in the 49th meeting between the longtime rivals.

Tipoff is slated for 10 a.m. CT on ESPN+. Additionally, Colin Suhre will have the call on SLUBillikens.com.

The Flyers lead the series 36-12, but the Billikens have the most recent bragging rights as they captured an 80-69 victory Jan. 15 at Chaifetz Arena. In a game that featured 18 lead changes and seven ties, Saint Louis scored 56 second-half points -- the Billikens' highest total in any half this season -- and pulled away in the fourth quarter. SLU shot 48.4 percent from the floor, was 16-of-20 from the foul line, and used 22 Dayton miscues to earn a 26-13 advantage in points off turnovers.

Billiken leaders in the first matchup were Julia Martinez (18 points, eight steals), Brooke Flowers (15 points, 13 rebounds, six blocks), Kyla McMakin (16 points) and Kennedy Calhoun (11 points, six rebounds, five assists).

Saint Louis extended its winning streak to three with a 75-61 road win over St. Bonaventure Feb. 5. Dayton has not played since snapping a five-game losing streak with an 81-68 win at Loyola Chicago Feb. 1. The Flyers' Feb. 4 home game vs. Richmond was canceled due to health and safety protocols within the UD program.
