ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis was picked to finish tied for third in the 2023 Atlantic 10 Conference baseball race, the league announced today.
 
The Billikens return five starters from last year's team that went 29-24 overall and 14-9 in Atlantic 10 Conference play. Cam Redding returns as the Billikens' leading hitter after he went .360 from the plate a season ago. Tyler Fogarty returns after leading the Bills with 11 homers. SLU will have an entirely new pitching rotation this season.
 
Davidson, which won the A-10 regular-season crown last year, was picked to finish first, followed by last year's tournament champion VCU in second. Richmond is tied with the Bills in third.
 
Head coach Darin Hendrickson is in his 16th season leading the program. He is 446-354-1 at SLU and 781-454-1 entering his 24th season overall.
 
Saint Louis opens the season Feb. 17-19 in a three-game series against Marshall in Hoover, Ala.
