FIVE FACTS

1 // Yuri Collins continues to hold the overwhelming lead in the NCAA in assists (232) and assists per game (10.1). He broke the A-10 record for career assists SLU's last time out against Rhode Island at Chaifetz Arena. Collins needs 36 more assists to break his SLU single-season record of 267, which he set last season.

2 // Much is made of Collins' historic assists numbers – and rightfully so – but he is climbing SLU career lists in other categories as well. His 166 career steals rank sixth all-time in school history, and he needs seven more to surpass Kwamain Mitchell for fifth. Additionally, Collins is 97 points away from reaching 1,000 for his career.

3 // Gibson Jimerson has posted back-to-back 24 point games, which is a season high for him. It is the second time in his career he has posted five or more treys in consecutive games (five vs. VCU, six vs. Rhode Island).

4 // The Billikens are in search of their fifth A-10 road win, which would match the 2019-20 squad for the most since the league went to an 18-game league schedule in 2014-15.

5 // Full-session tickets for the 2023 Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Basketball Championship are on sale now through the Billiken Ticket Office. Click here for more information. The tournament takes place March 7-12 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Note the change in the schedule – the tournament starts a day earlier on Tuesday, March 7. There is an off day on Friday, March 10, prior to Saturday's semifinal action. The bracket can be found here.

ABOUT DAYTON

The Dayton Flyers are 16-9 overall and 8-4 in the Atlantic 10. They are coming off arguably their best victory of the year, winning 62-58 at first-place VCU on Tuesday night.

The Flyers are historically tough to beat at UD Arena. They are 12-1 at home this season and won their final eight home games last year.

Dayton features the league's top defense as it yields just 61.4 ppg, 15th nationally. Teams shoot just 39.3 percent from the field against the Flyers, which ranks Dayton 12th nationally in FG percentage defense.

DaRon Holmes II, the 2022 A-10 Rookie of the Year, leads the Flyers with 17.6 ppg and is second with 7.9 rpg. He is also the A-10 leader in blocked shots. Toumani Camara contributes 13.9 ppg and an A-10-leading 9.2 rpg.

Head coach Anthony Grant is in his sixth season coaching at his alma mater with a 118-61 record. He is 311-170 in 15 seasons overall.

THE SAINT LOUIS-DAYTON SERIES

This is the 69th meeting all-time between the Billikens and Flyers in a series that dates to 1952. Dayton is SLU's fifth most common opponent.

The Flyers own a 39-29 advantage in the series. Last season, each team won on its home court. The Billikens' win against Dayton on Feb. 5 of last season at Chaifetz Arena snapped a five-game losing skid against UD.

The Billikens haven't won in their last eight trips to UD Arena. The last time SLU won in Dayton was Jan. 11, 2014. In fact, the Billikens have only won three times at UD Arena since joining the A-10 in the 2005-06 season.

UP NEXT

The Billikens return to Chaifetz Arena to open a two-game homestand, hosting Davidson on Wednesday, Feb. 15, and Duquesne on Saturday, Feb. 18.
