A three-run first inning was enough for South Dakota State to slip past Saint Louis, 5-1, Wednesday afternoon at Billikens Sports Center.
SLU moved to 10-5 on the year, while SDSU went to 4-9.
Caleb Thomson provided 6.0 strong innings of relief, surrendering just one run on two hits and striking out six.
Patrick Clohisy finished the day 2-4. Hayden Moore scored the lone Billiken run.
The Billikens' weekend series against Lamar this weekend has been moved to Millington, Tenn., due to weather. The games will be played at USA Stadium.
