TOURNAMENT NOTES: Saint Louis
Saint Louis (14-17) is the No. 3 seed for the 2023 Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Basketball Championship and will commence play in the tournament quarterfinals Friday, March 3, at 6:30 p.m. Central. The Billikens will face No. 6 seed Saint Joseph's (20-9), a 64-53 winner over No. 11 Davidson in Thursday's second round.
Should the Billikens advance, they would play in Saturday's semifinals at 12:30 p.m. Central. The opponent would be the winner of the quarterfinal game matching No. 2 Rhode Island (23-5) and No. 7 George Washington (18-12).
The championship game, which determines the A-10's automatic qualifier for the NCAA Championship, is scheduled for Sunday at 11 a.m. Central.
Quarterfinal games will be streamed on ESPN+, the semifinals will be carried by CBS Sports Network, and the title game will be televised on ESPNU. Additionally, Colin Suhre will have SLU's audio call on

Saint Louis has reached the tournament semifinals in five of the past seven years but is seeking its first appearance in the final.
KEY STORYLINES
•The Billikens won eight of their last nine games to finish 10-6 in A-10 play, their best mark in a full conference schedule since the 2016-17 season.
•Saint Louis tied for third place and earned the No. 3 seed in the A-10 Championship after being picked to finish 12th in the preseason poll.
•SLU leads the A-10 with 5.5 blocks per game (ninth nationally), 14.5 offensive rebounds per game (22nd), 9.6 steals per game (46th) and 13.1 free throws made per game.
•The Billikens have scored in the 70s in seven straight games, posting between 73 and 77 points in each of the seven. The school record for consecutive games in the 70s is eight, set by the 1998-99 team.
•Brooke Flowers is one of 10 semifinalists for the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Award.
•Flowers repeated as A-10 Defensive Player of the Year, appearing on the league's All-Defensive team for a fourth time. She also made the All-Conference team for a third time, earning second-team plaudits to go with two previous third-team nods.
•Kyla McMakin joined Flowers on the All-Conference second team, while Julia Martinez landed on the All-Defensive unit.
