ST. LOUIS – Viewership for first-round games in the 2023 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship increased 27 percent over 2022, and Saint Louis was a major component of that impressive improvement.

The Billikens' matchup with Tennessee on ABC attracted the most viewers – 639,000 – of any first-round contest. The Connecticut-Vermont game that followed on ABC was a close second (636,000), with Iowa-Southeastern Louisiana (560,000 on ESPN), Louisville-Drake (433,000 on ESPN2) and South Carolina-Norfolk State (420,000 on ESPN) rounding out the top five.
