BILLIKENS ENTER WEEKEND IN FIRST PLACE

Saint Louis is in first place in the Atlantic 10 Conference standings entering this weekend's three-game series at Dayton. The Flyers are in a three-way tie for fourth in the league.

The Billikens lead the all-time series against the Flyers 38-17. The teams have alternated wins and losses over the last seven contests. SLU hasn't played the Flyers in Dayton since 2018.

QUICK HITTERS

The Billikens are 10-2 over their last 12 matchups. Included in that stretch were three-game series sweeps against UMass and Saint Joseph's in A-10 play.

Saint Louis boasts one of the top offenses in the league. It leads the A-10 in team batting average (.293) and runs per game (8.2).

The Billikens' pitching staff is second in the A-10 in ERA (5.20) and first in the league in fewest walks allowed per nine innings (4.64).

Patrick Clohisy, who has three A-10 Player of the Week honors including back-to-back the last two weeks, has reached base in all but one game this season. He leads the Atlantic 10 in batting average (.389) and hits per game (1.65), while also leading the Billikens in home runs (nine), RBIs (40), runs scored (43) and stolen bases (15).

Ethan Sitzman is batting .368 and brings a 14-game hitting streak into this weekend's action. The Billikens' starting second baseman also has an impressive .989 fielding percentage.

Cole Smith is hitting .333 with a team-leading 11 doubles, while Cam Redding hits .304 with five homers in just 56 at-bats.

Tyler Fogarty has been hot as of late. He is hitting .469 over the last seven games.

The Billikens' starting rotation of Henry Litman, Jackson Holmes and Owen Chaffin has been effective as they combine for a 10-2 record. Litman leads the A-10 with a 2.54 ERA, while Chaffin is second with a 3.48 ERA.

BILLIKENS IN THE A-10

This is the 18th season of the Bills competing in the A-10. SLU was picked tied for third in this year's preseason poll.

Saint Louis owns four A-10 tournament titles since joining the league in 2006, the most of any other program during that span. The Bills have claimed at least a share of the A-10 regular season crown five times.

The top seven teams at the end of the regular season advance to the 2023 A-10 Baseball Championship, set for May 23-27 at The Diamond in Richmond, Virginia.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Following a home game April 25 against Western Illinois at the Billiken Sports Center, Saint Louis head back out on the road to face VCU in a three-game set at The Diamond in Richmond, Virginia.
