BILLIKENS RESUME A-10 PLAY

The Billikens hit the road for their first A-10 road series when they head to St. Bonaventure, New York, to take on the St. Bonaventure Bonnies.

SLU leads the all-time series 25-12 against the Bonnies. The Bills have won five in a row and nine of the last 10. The Billikens last traveled to St. Bonaventure during the 2018 campaign.

QUICK HITTERS

Saint Louis is riding a four-game winning streak. The Billikens were the only team in the A-10 to sweep on opening weekend when they took all three games against UMass at the Billiken Sports Center.

SLU is coming off a 19-14 win over SIUE on Tuesday. Every batter in the Billiken starting lineup scored at least one run and registered at least one hit.

Patrick Clohisy has reached base in all but one game this season and leads the Billikens in home runs (nine), RBIs (28), runs scored (33) and stolen bases (12).

Cole Smith is one of the hottest hitters in the Billiken lineup. He is riding an 11-game hitting streaks and is batting .339. He has totaled four doubles in the last two games.

Ethan Sitzman is third on the squad with a .318 average. Cam Redding has appeared in the last five games after missing the first 21 due to a wrist injury. He has homered twice this season, including a bomb to left on the first pitch he saw this year in his first appearance against SIUE last week.

The Billikens had a 10-game winning streak earlier this season, which included series sweeps against Big 10 foes Minnesota (three games) and Northwestern (two games).

WALK-OFF WINNERS

Saint Louis has shown a flare for the dramatic with four walk-off wins so far this season.

The first came March 3 when Knox Preston was plunked with the bases loaded, completing a three-run 13th inning to give SLU the walk-off win against St. Thomas.

The Billikens posted back-to-back thrilling walk-off wins against Lamar at the USA Baseball Complex in Millington, Tennessee, March 17-18. In the first game on Friday with the Billikens trailing 7-3 in the bottom of the ninth, Ethan Sitzman blasted a game-tying grand slam. Then, two pitches later, Tyler Fogarty lifted a solo shot to the opposite field to give the Billikens the improbable come-from-behind victory. 6-4-3 Charts listed a win probability of 99.9% in favor of Lamar prior to Sitzman's grand slam. In Saturday's second game, Fogarty again provided the late-game heroics when he singled home Dominic Cusumano for the winning run in the bottom of the 10th.

SLU's fourth walk-off win of the year came April 1 at the BSC against UMass. Saint Louis scored six unanswered runs in the final three innings to complete a come-from-behind, walk-off win over the Minutemen. Ethan Sitzman delivered the game-winning hit in the bottom of the ninth.

BILLIKENS IN THE A-10

This is the 18th season of the Bills competing in the A-10. SLU was picked tied for third in this year's preseason poll.

Saint Louis owns four A-10 tournament titles since joining the league in 2006, the most of any other program during that span. The Bills have claimed at least a share of the A-10 regular season crown five times.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Saint Louis travels to Evansville, Indiana, for a midweek tilt against Southern Indiana on Tuesday. The Billikens return to the Billiken Sports Center next weekend when they host Saint Joseph's.
