•Five different players scored a goal and four others collected an assist as No. 23 Saint Louis defeated SIUE 5-1 Saturday evening at CITYPARK in downtown St. Louis.
•SLU improved to 4-2, while SIUE of the Ohio Valley Conference slipped to 2-3-1.
•The game was the first collegiate women's soccer game played at CITYPARK, the home of St. Louis CITY SC of Major League Soccer.
•The Cougars took an early lead when Sidney Christopher scored on a free kick in the fourth minute, but it was all Billikens from there.
•Goals by
Caroline Kelly (20th minute) and
Emily Groark (41st minute) gave SLU a 2-1 halftime lead.
Abbie Miller made it 3-1 on a penalty kick in the 56th minute, and
Sophia Stram and
Samantha De Luca added extra insurance in the 66th minute and 80th minute, respectively.
