ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis and No. 9 Missouri State battled to a 1-1 draw in nonconference men's soccer action Wednesday night at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.
The Billikens are now 3-3-2 on the season, while Missouri State remains unbeaten at 5-0-2 on the season.
Both teams scored in the first half. The Billikens earned a free kick opportunity and Lawson Redmon sent a ball into the box. It came to Diego Konincks, who headed it past the Bears defense to make it 1-0 Bills in the 12th minute. It was the second goal of the season for Konincks.
Missouri State tied it in the 36th minute when Michael Peck deflected a ball past SLU keeper Mason Hart.
Missouri State had a chance in the second half, but Redmon made a great play to clear the ball of his line and keep it a 1-1 game.
The Billikens resume Atlantic 10 Conference play on Saturday night when they host the Rhode Island Rams at Hermann Stadium. Game time is 7 p.m.
