ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis University senior forward
Emily Gaebe has been selected the Atlantic 10 Conference women's soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Sept. 30-Oct. 6, the league office announced Tuesday. It is Gaebe's third such honor this season and the seventh of her career.
Additionally, Gaebe was named to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week for a fourth time in her career.
In a 5-0 win at Duquesne Oct. 6, Gaebe recorded her first career hat trick and, in the process, became SLU's career record-holder in goals (43) and points (107). She netted the Billikens' goal in a 1-1 draw with Saint Joseph's Oct. 3.
Gaebe's performance last week increased her team-leading totals to 11 goals and 25 points, good for first place and a tie for first, respectively, in the A-10. She ranks among the top 10 nationally and leads the conference with 1.92 points per game (sixth), four game-winning goals (seventh), 4.77 total shots per game (eighth), 2.46 shots on goal per game (eighth) and 0.85 goals per game (ninth).
Gaebe's career totals of 107 points and 43 goals rank fourth and fifth, respectively, among active NCAA Division I players. She is one of only three active Division I players with at least 43 goals and 20 assists (she has 21 assists).
In addition to the goals and points records, Gaebe owns the Saint Louis career mark of 276 shots and is second in game-winning goals (12), seventh in assists (21) and tied for seventh in game-winning assists (seven).
Gaebe will be one of the Billikens honored in Senior Day ceremonies Sunday, Oct. 13, prior to SLU's match vs. A-10 rival VCU. Kickoff at Hermann Stadium is slated for 1 p.m. The Bills are 7-1-5 overall and 3-0-2 in league play and are No. 44 in the Oct. 7 NCAA Ratings Percentage Index.
