LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Lock Haven defeated Saint Louis 6-1 Friday afternoon in the Atlantic 10 Conference finale for both teams.
SLU ends its season with a 2-12 overall record and a 0-7 mark in A-10 play. Lock Haven is now 4-14 and 2-5 in conference play.
Julia Rooijakkers scored for the Billikens in the first quarter. It was her second of the year.
The Billikens finished the season with 26 goals, which matches last year's goal total and is the most by a Billiken squad in more than 20 years.
It was the final game for Billiken seniors Josefina Perez, Savina Purewal, Julia Rooijakkers, Anna Smith and Olivia Smith. Combined, they have played in 288 matches in their Billiken careers.Â
Perez ended her SLU career with 25 career goals, which is 10th all-time in school history. Her team-leading 12 tallies this season were the most by a Billiken player since 1999.
