DAYTON, Ohio – Saint Louis was defeated 4-1 Saturday at No. 15 Dayton in the Atlantic 10 Conference regular-season finale.
The Bills suffered their first loss since Sept. 8 and move to 7-3-7 overall (4-1-3 A-10). Dayton won its fifth in a row and improves to 10-2-3 and 5-1-2 in the league.
Saint Louis is the No. 6 seed in the A-10 Men's Soccer Championship and opens play next Saturday at No. 3 Massachusetts. Game time is noon (CT). It's a rematch of last year's A-10 quarterfinal matchup that saw UMass advance in PKs after a 2-2 draw at Hermann Stadium.
On Saturday, the Flyers scored once in the first half, and tacked on three more in the second to go up 4-0 before SLU broke through with a goal in the 72nd minute by Tanner Anderson.
