Kennedy Claims A-10 Player of the Week Honors

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Saint Louis University's Peyton Kennedy is the Atlantic 10 Conference women's basketball co-Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

She earns the honor after posting a career-high 31 points in the Billikens' thrilling come-from-behind victory at Rhode Island Sunday afternoon. The senior forward shot 58 percent from the field including 4-8 (50 percent) from the three-point line and a perfect 7-7 from the charity stripe.

Not only was the 30-plus point performance a career high for Kennedy, but was an individual game high for any Billiken player this season.

Earlier in the week, Kennedy put up 12 points in the Billikens loss to VCU while grabbing five rebounds and tallying two assists.

Through 25 games this season, Kennedy has compiled double-figures in 18 games and 20-plus points in eight games before exploding for 31 points against the Rams in Kingston, R.I., boosting the Billikens to their 10th win this season.

SLU will be back in action Wednesday night hosting Loyola Chicago at Chaifetz Arena. Tip-off for the Pink Out game is set for 7 p.m.
